Aim:
This two-day workshop will provide extensive hands-on experience with Laser Doppler Anemometry (LDA) systems. The workshop is designed to support both new and experienced users by combining practical training with discussions on best practice in experimental measurements and data processing.
A key objective of the workshop is to help establish an LDA user community, providing opportunities for researchers to share experiences, discuss challenges, and exchange best practice across laboratories.
Representatives from Dantec Dynamics will provide support and technical expertise.
Agenda / Overview
The workshop will cover:
- Principles of LDA
- Alignment and operation of three LDA rigs:
- 1-component system
- 2-component system with traverse
- 3-component system with traverse
- Data acquisition
- Data processing
In addition to the practical sessions, researchers from other laboratories are invited to present their work and share best practice.
Target Audience
Researchers ranging from prospective and beginner LDA users to current and advanced users wishing to share best practice.
