Aerodynamic Data and the NWTF
- Date:
- 10th March 2026
- Location:
- Online
- Organisation:
- Loughborough University/NWTF
- Host(s):
- Prof Gary Page, Dhamotharan Veerasamy, Jason Boldero
Aim
The aim of this workshop is to illustrate the importance of disseminating aerodynamic data and how to do this with the NWTF Experimental Database.
Target Audience
This event is suitable for a wide variety of experience and backgrounds, from PhD Researchers and Post Doctoral Researchers, to academics and any creator or user of aerodynamic data (including industrial).
Workshop Overview
The workshop has three main elements:
- Describing the design decisions behind the current NWTF Experimental Database, showing a live demonstration and giving data on its utilisation.
- Explaining the proposed Aerodynamic eXchange (AeroX) data format and a live demonstration of the AeroX python package.
- An introduction to the two proposed reference wind tunnel models that are planned to be tested in UK tunnels.
